HEROES ANONIMOUS of a Brilliant Struggle: Artmaking and Artmakers in the School of Fine Arts (1908-1948)
May 31st, 2008You are all invited to the UP College of Fine Arts’ exhibition opening of HEROES ANONIMOUS Of a Brilliant Struggle: Artmaking and Artmakers of the School of Fine arts (1908-1948) on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 5 pm at the Metropolitan Museum of Manila on Roxas Blvd. next to the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas.
The exhibition, curated by Philippine art historian and UP CFA faculty Prof. Santiago Pilar, ushers in the centennial year of the College of Fine Arts, as one of the founding units when UP was constituted in 1908. It features works and artists from an unheralded chapter in Philippine art and the UP College of Fine arts from 1908-1948 (pre-war).
