UP CFA EXPERIENCE
Colayco has been with UP CFA since 1997. For the last eleven years, she has shared years of educational training and professional experience in art history and the converging fields of graphic design, publishing, media and graphic communications management and technologies. She has taught foundation courses in Asian Art and currently handles advance courses in Art and Design Theory. She is a faculty of the MFA program of CFA.
As the chairperson for the Theory Department from 2004-2006, she initiated exchange artist residency programs with Singapore Sculpture Square and organized workshops with visiting artists like Pacita Abad and master papermaker of the the Singapore Tyler Print Institute, Richard Hungerford.
She is a 2005 grantee of the Pura Kalaw professorial chair.
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE
Prior to joining UP CFA, Colayco worked for many years as a graphic designer and design and technology consultant for companies in New York and the Philippines. In 2000, she founded ArtPostAsia Pte Ltd,, a specialty publishing group focusing on internally distributed publications on Asian art, cultural traditions, heritage, environment, and lifestyle.
She has been Dean of the UP College of Fine Arts since October 2006.
